Carrboro Film Festival :: Century Hall at the Carrboro Century Center ::

This festival is a celebration of the film and video creativity we have right here in the Carrboro area. Any filmmaker is welcome to submit a production, 30 minutes in length or less. We have selected a blue ribbon panel of judges of local area experts in the film industry who will select the award winners.

Crook’s Corner :: 610 West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC :: 919-929-7643

Crooks Corner is long recognized and one of the best restaurants among Chapel Hill veterans. In addition to their quality regular fare you are apt to fine local specialties on the menu, berries in Spring, peaches in Summer and, my favorite, persimmon pudding made from local persimmons around Thanksgiving. You can eat in the restaurant but I recommend dining under the stars in their outdoor seating area.

Chapel Hill Fourth of July Celebration :: Kenan Memorial Stadium, UNC_Chapel Hill Campus, Chapel Hill, NC :: 919-968-2784

Celebrate July 4th with an evening of fireworks and family entertainment. The Town of Chapel Hill's annual July 4th Celebration will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 4 at UNC's Kenan Memorial Stadium. Fireworks are only visible from inside the stadium, so plan to arrive early to get a good seat.
